Good news for the city of Warren, Michigan as the ground has been broken for a brand new Cadillac dealership. City officials are hoping the $8 million project will help spur development of the downtown center, which includes the General Motors Technical Center.
Gregory Jackson, CEO of Prestige Auto Group has spearheaded the project, who also owns other various dealerships. As a lifelong Cadillac man, he said the project was personal.
“For me to stand here today is a little emotional, certainly personal,” said Jackson to Macomb Daily, as 10 various Cadillacs sat parked behind him.
Jackson, along with various Prestige employees and Cadillac executives, put on their hard hats for the ceremony and broke ground on what is expected to be one of the greatest luxury dealerships in the area. Jackson also thanked city officials for being cooperative in securing the once vacant land for redevelopment.
The property has failed to attract any interest as it has sat vacant since 2002. Jackson offered $1.6 million for the space as long as the area could be rezoned to accommodate auto sales. The city of Warren has high hopes this project will only further the redevelopment of the area, which city officials envision as a pedestrian friendly area, which will include condos, restaurants shopping and more.

Nice to see Johan and Uwe’s Master Plan for Cadillac beginning to bear fruit:
nothings says hip, cool and Manhattan-cutting edge like building a dealership in a desolate lot that’s been vacant since 2002 in Warren, Michigan. By a guy who has a Ford dealership, a Toyota dealership and a Benz dealership on 9 Mile.
