General Motors South Africa (GMSA) recently was recently recognized in the 2015 IPSOS Quality Awards for sales and service, as both Chevrolet and Isuzu were recognized as two of the top-performing light commercial and passenger vehicle sales brands in the region.
The awards measure owner’s satisfaction of the purchase and service experience in both passenger car and light vehicle categories. Specifically, the items being measured include:
- Passenger Car Purchasing Experience
- Passenger Car Servicing Experience
- Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Purchasing Experience
- Light Commercial Vehicle Servicing Experience
Isuzu picked up gold awards in both theLight Commercial Vehicle sales and service segments, Chevrolet and Opel nabbed a silver award in the Passenger Car sales and Passenger Car service segment, respectively.
“General Motors South Africa’s goal is to provide an outstanding customer experience. We are committed to provide our customers with service of the highest standard through ongoing training and support at dealer level. Our dealer partners play a pivotal role in interacting with our customers,” said Brian Olson, GMSA Vice President of Sales, Service and Marketing.
GMSA is responsible for the Chevrolet, Opel, and Isuzu brands in South Africa through 130 dealerships. GM held a 9.8 percent market share in the country in May, after it moved 4,696 vehicles last month.
IPSOS, meanwhile, is a market research company that has conducted research for the South African automotive industry since 1991. It is also known by other names such as Proactive Marketing and Synovate.
