    1. I hope not — needs to be more truckish. Styling wise, I think that they were close to the mark with the original concept — a much more masculine and appealing version of a Kia Soul.

  2. Off road, midsized, proper SUV, Grand Cherokee fighter?

  3. God the last thing they need is a Encore Trax clone. Most GMC dealers are Buick dealers and they do not need two similar models under one roof.

The old Granite would be a little dated now so I expect something similar but with a updated twist.

This would make a good name for a vehicle to challenge Jeep wrangler with rock crawling ability.

Or even a new variation of a smaller truck like the Granite Pick up concept they had. I loved the expandable bed.

  5. They have showed-off a Granite in the past hears, not sure if at Auto Shows, but they did at a dealer meeting… Uber-Small SUV’s are the fastest growing segment, so it shouldnt surprise – Cadillac will also be launching one… Guess the question, what are they all based on (if all the same) – Encore seems likely for GMC but doubtful that Cadillac would use.

  6. The Granite, Trax and Encore are all under pinned but the Gamma II platform the same one under the Sonic.

This is a vary flexible platform and GMC Could take it a different direction.

Not if you have not seen the original show Granite in person it is a much larger vehicle than the Trax and in person is much wider and longer than it appears. If is one size larger than the Soul. It also had much more interior room even with the odd seats it would be roomier.
