General Motors has been flexing its silver-screen muscles as of recent. The automaker has found its way into multiple films as of recent, including “Entourage.” Most recently, though, it was Disney’s “Tomorrowland” where the 2016 Chevrolet Volt kicked off its marketing push.
Chevrolet has presented a behind-the-scenes look at how the 2016 Volt fit the bill on the direction, and aura “Tomorrowland” represents.
The futuristic world encompasses the possibilities of the future when everyone works together to solve problems facing the world. The 2016 Volt was seen as a perfect companion to such world with its PHEV power, and ability to travel on a pure electric charge for 50 miles. It also represents the type of forward-thinking the creators wanted to embody the world of “Tomorrowland,” where technology creates endless possibilities.
There’s also a few cameos featuring the Chevrolet EN-V, the urban mobility vehicle which runs on electricity. As GM gears up to test the EN-V in the real world, moviegoers can see it in action through the futuristic eyes of the film.
