And Now, Some Photos Of A Black 2016 Camaro SS In The Real World

We’ve seen quite a bit of the all-new 2016 Chevy Camaro over the last month: from reveal-day photos and videos to public sightings, the Camaro six has been the talk of the automotive world. But what we have yet to see is the new pony in the wild and in black. Luckily, that’s exactly what GM Authority reader John recently spotted while driving.
What we see is a Camaro SS, as evidenced by the horizontal LEDs that are unique to the SS model. By comparison, the LEDs on the V6-powered Camaro are vertical.
To note, the SS badge is now in a different place on the rear of the Camaro: whereas it was placed on the left of the rear bumper cover in initial photos, the black Camaro seen here sports the badge on the vertical part of the trunk lid.
Nevertheless, it’s clear that the new Camaro has a definite presence on the road, and we can’t wait to drive it in the near future.

I don’t thing I’d even notice it as being a new one, good call spoting it.
Rear spoiler delete option please. There’s just something about those wheel well skirts that don’t allow black wheels to work at all. Oh that’s right, the wheels are too big! The Vette stayed at the 18″ front and 19″ rear but the SS Camaro gets 20″ with options for 21″ (from John Deere). Hey GM, the new Camaro is smaller not larger. At least make a 19″ wheel available for us over 40 who have some taste and can actually afford to buy this car.
looks like a 2015 mustang with a slightly flatter roof line
Rathmullan, stop being so negative. If you don’t want to buy the car, then don’t buy it. And no one magically gains “taste” , income, or apparently intelligence (in your case) at 40 ok? This car is awesome!
The New KITT.
Looks good to me. Now how about some ZL1/Z28 pics?????
Pretty nice looking but the rear spoiler needs to GO!
