If you’ve bought yourself a 2015 Holden Commodore SSV, pat yourself on the back. If you’ve gone for the HSV Clubsport R8, you’re the real deal. But, what if you want to push the HSV engineering to the limits? That’s when you hand it over to C&A Auto Fashion.
LSXtv stumbled upon the build, and the company has built an absolutely bonkers vehicle but, as they say, the customer is always right. They took one standard issue HSV Clubsport R8 (which is already making a very healthy 455 hp, just so you’re aware) and added in a Magnuson Heartbeat 2300 supercharger running at 11.5 psi. To top it off, Higgins ported cylinder heads and C&A spec Comp Cams camshaft upgrades make this a totally different animal from its HSV brethren.
This Clubsport R8 build makes the HSV roaring lion look more like common house cat.
But now, the good stuff. Strapping it up to the dyno reveals the monster C&A have truly built. The first pull nets 685 rear-wheel hp. Wow. The second time? 688 rear-wheel hp. Insane.
Mind you, this is still full functional family sedan, and C&A have even added a bi-modal exhaust to keep things tame when you’re out with the family. But if your family truly loves you, they’ll let you keep it open at all times.
What are you waiting for? You’re merely a click away from seeing this monster in all its glory. Be prepared to have thoughts of relocating your life to Oz.
