These two photos illustrate the evolution of the same vehicle and vehicle class over a period of 52 years.
Although the two vehicles have different names, they are directly related. Opel had the Kadett while Vauxhall’s version was called Astra. In 1992, GM Europe decided to standardize the models names across the Opel and Vauxhall brands, so the Kadett was renamed Astra. As such, we’re looking at the direct progression of a single vehicle in the same automotive segment over a period of 50-something years.  What a difference five decades makes!
