Last Saturday was a very important day in Camaro history. Not only was the public treated to the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro live, but they also saw a select few of some of the greatest Camaros to grace us through history.
With Dennis Pittsenbarger as our host, we time travel through various generations of Camaro and its most significant contribution to the Camaro nameplate. Starting with the very-first, hand-assembled Chevrolet Camaro, we jump to the third-generation to take a peak at the Camaro IROC-Z, where we finally conclude at the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro concept. In the middle of all this history, we take a brief pit-stop at the 1967 Penske Racing Camaro.
The video also takes a brief moment to identify the fifth-generation 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and its achievements around the Nürburgring, setting a 7:37.40 time in the rain.
We’re eager to see where this 2016 Chevrolet Camaro takes us, especially with its loss of 200 pounds and the fact it’s riding on the superb Alpha platform. If history repeats itself, we think we’re in for a wild ride with this sixth-generation Camaro.
