Dennis Pittsenbarger was a busy man this past Saturday as he caught up with some of the highest GM brass to discuss their feeling towards the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. In the latest piece provided by Chevrolet, Pittsenbarger speaks with General Motors CEO, Mary Barra.
Barra is quick to point out how tightly-knit the Camaro community is, and that she wanted a sixth-generation Camaro to speak to that customer base. While many fifth-generation Camaros were first to the brand, the 2016 Camaro envisions the iconic muscle car for anybody to enjoy the iconic nameplate.
“I think when people get a chance to drive this car, they’ll see we’ve taken it to the next level. I am so proud,” remarked Barra.
A running theme between much of the GM higher-ups is what Chevrolet stands for, and Barra echoes this sentiment: attainability. Chevrolet is, by definition, the bread and butter. But, it stands for so much more considering the vehicles offered inside its portfolio. And the 2016 Camaro aims to push the envelope even further.
