Damage aside, it could be argued that the sinkhole was actually one of the best things that ever happened to the National Corvette Museum. Sure, it cost a bunch of money to repair the structure and the damaging of irreplaceable Corvettes, but the museum has also enjoyed tons of press and a welcome spike in attendance as a result.
With that in mind, the NCM is reminding car clubs and similar organizations that now might just be one of the best times to purchase one of its parking lot banners–extra bodies on lot means more visitors have a chance to see your banner, right?
Yes, your Corvette or Chevelle club can have its name immortalized in the parking of the nation’s Corvette mecca for just $500. What’s the benefit you ask?
Well, a few patrons might be interested in your club and may decide to join (if they’re equipped with the proper metal of course), but the real draw is probably the fact that after the banner stays up for a year, the NCM will give it back to your club to keep.
The banners are swapped out every August and the cut-off date is July 1 so head on over to the NCM’s website soon if you want to finally get your Chevette club up in lights.
