Here’s an interesting figure to spice up your Thursday: Chevrolet has produced over 1.5-million Corvettes since 1953 and nearly half of those–600,000– have come factory filled with Mobil 1 oil.
The relationship first started back in 1993 with the C4 Corvette and since then nearly every version of the Corvette has come factory filled with Mobil 1’s synthetic oil.
Today, both the Corvette Z06 and the Stingray with the Z51 Performance Package come factory filled with the company’s latest synthetic blend, though it’s the recommend service fill for all Corvette models.
While the inherent benefits and drawbacks of various motor oils are constantly in debate, it’s interesting to note that the most powerful vehicle Chevrolet has ever produced comes factory filled with Mobil 1 synthetic.

I have always filled up with moble1 oil until this week.
i filled my C6 Z51 436hp velocity yellow roadster with moble1 extended life.
i wouldnt use any other oil. Why fix something that isnt broke.
