2016 Buick Verano Gets New Colors, Equipment And Package Changes

The current, first-generation Buick Verano is set to be replaced by an all-new model for the 2017 model year. But that has not stopped GM from giving the 2016 Buick Verano several updates and changes for the 2016 model year.

To start, the Delta II-platformed 2016 Verano replaces two existing exterior colors with two new, extra-cost options:

Deleted Colors

  • Carbon Black Metallic
  • Smoky Gray Metallic

New Colors

  • Graphite Gray Metallic
  • Ebony Twilight Metallic

Furthermore, the 2016 Buick Verano relocates the location of the engine stop/start button from the center stack to the steering column. In addition, the 6-way power adjuster in the Comfort Package is replaced with an 8-way unit on the driver’s seat.

A new set of 19-inch wheels wrapped in all-season tires become available, as does a new Driver Confidence Package that includes various active safety systems, including:

  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Side Blind Zone Alert

Finally, the 2016 Buick Verano receives several changes to its equipment and package groups. Check the RPO-level changes just below.

  • Exterior color (GAR) Carbon Black Metallic
  • Exterior color (GLJ) Smoky Gray Metallic
  • (ADS) 6-way power driver seat adjuster
  • (RZA) 19″ aluminum wheels
  • (QLW) P255/65R18-109S all-season, blackwall tires

New Features

  • Exterior color (G7Q) Graphite Gray Metallic (Additional charge – premium paint)
  • Exterior color (GB8) Ebony Twilight Metallic (additional charge – premium paint)
  • (WPA) Driver Confidence Package, includes (UEU) Forward Collision Alert, (UFG) Rear Cross-Traffic Alert,
  • (UFL) Lane Departure Warning and (UFT) Side Blind Zone Alert
  • (AG1) 8-way power driver seat adjuster

Changes

  • (PDU) Experience Buick Package now contains (WBP) Appearance Package and (CF5) tilt-sliding power moonroof on 1SL (1SG content remains the same as 2015)
  • (PCM) Comfort Package seat adjuster changes from (ADS) 6-way power driver seat to (AG1) 8-way power driver seat
  • (BTM) Push-button keyless start moves from center stack to steering column
  • (RZA) 19″ aluminum wheels and (QUP) P255/60R19-108S all-season, blackwall tires are now standard on 1SD
  • (RJ0) P235/45R18, all-season, blackwall tires are no longer available on 1SD
  • Exterior color (GVU) Mocha Bronze Metallic is now called “Mocha Metallic”
