2015 C7 Corvette Stingray Put Through Its Paces At Michelin Proving Ground: Video

Power means nothing if you can’t put it to the ground. It’s a sentence many of us have uttered more than once, but it rings in absolute truth. The 2015 C7 Corvette Stingray may be overshadowed by its more powerful Z06 variant, but it still offers a stable of ponies ready to tackle whatever is thrown its way.

That’s why the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires the car is equipped with from the factory have their work cut out for them, and the capability of those tires are highlighted in a new video from Michelin.

Here we have a standard-issue 2015 C7 Corvette at the Michelin Proving ground, a place where manufacturers are more than welcome to bring their latest engineering prides to test where power meets concrete. It’s quickly apparent how well the tires do their job on the 2015 C7 Corvette, as the front end turns in sharply, and the tail doesn’t kick out as corners are clipped near 100 mph.

Staying firm, and planted, is key to inspiring driver confidence on the track. And a good set up rubber can go a long way to do so. Check out the video right down below to see just how well these tires perform.
