German motoring magazine AutoBild recently got its hands on a 2015 C7 Corvette Z06. The magazine is no stranger to supercars, having also tested the Z06’s rivals such as the Porsche 911 Turbo S and Lamborghini Huracan, so they weren’t expecting to be blown away by the C7’s performance when they took it out to the Sachsenring for some track testing.
The fastest production car around the Sachsenring is a 991 Porsche 911 Turbo S in the hands of an AutoBild staffer. That was until they put C7 Z06 around the circuit, however. The Turbo S set a time of 1:32.51 around the track, which the Z06 has now demolished by over 2 seconds, running the course in 1:30.47.
To put things in perspective, that time is faster than a McLaren 650S, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Lamborghini Huracan and an SLS AMG Black Series, among many others. AutoBild says they knew the car would be fast, but they were shocked when they looked at their VBox data and realized it was over 2 seconds a lap quicker than the next fastest car they had tested.
AutoBild forgot to turn the track mode on in the Corvette’s Performance Data Recorder when they filmed their lap, so their video lacks telemetry, but it’s proof of the Z06’s absurdly quick lap time. Check it out below, and let us know what you think of the C7’s lightning quick lap time in the comments.

Time is super. of course, the pilots who have been and what the conditions were others. must also be taken into account when the results of others to run. Old corvette was also fast. But in any case, the result is super. now can not fall asleep. to get better and better yet in those matters that others are better. corvette should be able to be the best.
