The Chevrolet Corvette and Dodge Viper seem to be two very different answers to the same solution, but fans of rival automakers are going to bicker no matter what. The Viper and Corvette have always traded blows, and they still feud to this day. Take the video below, filmed by the North Texas Viper Club, for example.
We’re trying to comprehend the amount of disdain you must have for a car where it drives you to go out and buy it, fill it with Tannerite, and shoot at it with a .50 Cal machine gun until it blows up. It seems like a lot of work for a small laugh and a light slap to the knee, but to each their own. We’d rather spend our money and time out at a track day, as would the majority of sports car owners.
To be honest, this explosion was pretty cool, even if it did claim the life of an innocent C4 Corvette. But how about the next time you have a spare C4 laying around, Texas Viper Club members, you give it to GM Authority as a track day toy?

Apparently, despite what the emblems might say, you can take the Dodge out of Dodge Viper but you can’t take the Dodge out of Viper owners.
Time to put a viper on a flatbed tow truck and use it as a DD, let everyone see it being towed,
Wonder if Will Hayden from sons of guns is a member, he loves to blow stuff up.
If you can beat them any other way you have to blow them up?
The saying is you can take the Viper out of the trailer park but you can not take the trailer park out of the Viper owner.
I bet there is a Viper Body just waiting for a Monster truck frame some where too.
That’s exactly what the new C7 Corvette has done to Viper sales figuratively speaking. The illusion of a sports car wrapped in the body of a kit car doesn’t fool anybody any longer.
Just plain stupid. What a waste of a good car Even if you dont like a car its just plain ignorant.
You could have raffled the vette and given the money to a good cause.
Redneck Dodge guys. Probably drive lifted diesel GMC’s with rebel flags in the back windows. The C4 is the worst of 7 generations but ya, waste of a decent ride. Would have been a good starter Corvette for a younger kid.
HAHA, reading your comments make me SOOO happy we chose a vette to destroy.
When you guys can afford to blow up a Viper, by all means have at it… Hilarious you guys talk about on the track, who won LeMans this year? Ummm, did I see a vette set a good time at the ring?
God made Vipers so vette guys would have heros… Awwww.. LOL
Cool story bro
How’s sales lately?
Any more plant shut downs coming again?
Nice car enjoy it while it last. FCA is in real trouble and the first thing to go is always the sports car that is just not selling.
LOL!

He who laughs last laughs loudest!
I wonder if Fiat will slash 15k off the price of the Challenger when the new Camaro comes out, like they did with the viper when the z06 did. You know they were in scramble mode that day.
Viper owners are still sour about the last gen zr1 showing up the all new viper. The envy is clearly pretty thick with them to act so childish.
Long ago I remember the Dodge guy going on at a car show (Cleveland Auto Show) about how many seconds it took a Viper to go from zero to one hundred and back to zero. My friend wondered out loud “What did they do, drop it from a plane?” Guy from Dodge looked less than thrilled about that comment.
