Vauxhall Had An April Fool’s Day Gem That Everybody Missed

As usual, we at GM Authority were all over April Fool’s day. Y’know, the holiday that was started during the Great Depression in order to lift people’s spirits? Just kidding. Everyone knows it was started during World War II to confuse the Axis powers.

Anyhow, it seems we all missed Vauxhall’s April Fool’s tasty morsel of a story. And now, if you’ll humor us, let’s time warp back to last Wednesday.

Vauxhall has announced it will launch the Vivaro Taxi Kebabi, an ingenious new design that enables passengers to eat a kebab without having to stop on the way home.

The new Taxi Kebabi is based on the 9-seat Vivaro Combi model and features everything you need to create your kebab on the go: two gas-fired spit rotisserie grills, salad bowls built into the arms rests, chili dispensers, as well as a plethora of unpronounceable sauces.

Plus, you and your drunk friends won’t have to worry about spillage– the Taxi Kebabi features easy to clean, kebab-resistant vinyl floors and seats.

“With the launch of the Vivaro Taxi Kebabi, we really believe we’ve given our customers something to sink their teeth into,” said Vauxhall spokesperson April F. Ools.

Jokes aside, anyone know a good kebab place?

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.
