MGM Introduces Fleet Of CNG Powered 2015 Cadillac XTS Limos

With a lot of news about Cadillac most likely leaving the livery business behind in the pursuit of a new brand image, this came across our desks. MGM has provided a video highlighting the introduction of its new compressed natural gas powered 2015 Cadillac XTS limousines, a first in the business they say.

Previously, MGM employed Town Car limos, but the time had come to replace the fleet with a new vehicle, and they decided to push the envelope and innovate. Chris Magee, Executive Director of Corporate Sustainability for MGM, says Cadillac were actually the ones who suggested the idea of a CNG powered limo. After much engineering, the powertrain was implemented.

Technical specifications are missing, but we do know the car still uses the 3.6-liter V6 engine to deliver its entourage to the grandest parties in Vegas. The limousines are able to drive about 200 miles on a single tank of CNG, with up to a 12 percent reduction in emissions from standard gasoline. Magee says MGM is proud to introduce the limo fleet, and sees it as a commitment to proper sustainability practices.

Have a look at an overview of the 2015 Cadillac XTS limos in the video down below.

  1. The more I look at the XTS as a Limo, I Love it and hope Caddy reconsiders it as a Livery car like the Lincoln Continental was, but this is waaaay better then that was!!! They are keeping some of the Chevy’s as Fleet Vehicles after their End-Of-Life, but Caddy in the Livery Service is by far Extremely more Influential and Lucrative in that space. Caddy just has to keep it Updated unlike what Lincoln did not do and that will be Real Money in their coffers for years to come, until they can figure out what will really replace it, there is No Shame being in the Livery Service because that is another form of name recognition at it’s fullest!! What do you think Gang??? 😉

  3. It’s quite sad to learn that Cadillac is leaving the limo scene. However, it isn’t sad to see that the people over at MGM decided to get a whole fleet of CNG powered ones. This is great for them since they will be much more efficient than regular gasoline. Plus it will give them better gas mileage.
