Latest National Corvette Museum Sink Hole Update

The project manager of the Skydome Repair Project, Zach Massey, gives us the latest update from the site of the National Corvette Museum sinkhole incident which occurred back in February of 2014. The micropile phase mentioned in the previous update has begun, though the cold weather has put the construction crew about a week behind schedule. Still, Massey seems to be pretty optimistic about making the time up, so the plan for the original completion date in July is still on track.

We’ll never forget that unfortunate day in the auto world, where several rare and one-of-a-kind Corvettes were lost. Luckily the 2009 ZR1 “Blue Devil” was able to be restored, along with two other Corvettes. While three out of eight isn’t the best outcome, it’s still better than nothing. To keep up with the latest on the sinkhole updates, be sure to visit us again soon.
