As you may know, Larbre Competition is fielding two Corvette C7.Rs in this year’s World Endurance Championship. The first race of the season at Silverstone didn’t go so well for the French team, with their No. 50 C7.R being handed down a penalty after making contact with an LMP2 car, causing it to finish seventh in their class, eight laps down from the leader.
Larbre may not have ended the race at Silverstone on a very good note, but throughout its 6 hour duration, the car looked and sounded great. Larbre’s Corvette Racing yellow, white and black paint scheme is undeniably attractive, and the French yellow headlights just add to the C7.R’s sinister look. As always, the Corvette’s 5.5-liter V8 also sounded uniquely American among the Porsches, Ferraris and Aston Martins that make up much of the WEC field.
We didn’t go to the 6 Hours of Silverstone, but thanks to YouTube user Racefan1993, we can see and hear the Larbre C7.R roar around the British circuit in the video below. Scroll down to watch it, and don’t forget to cheer Larbre on as they head to Belgium this weekend for the 6 Hours of Spa.
