Jeff Gordon Shows Us His Daily Drivers: Video

NASCAR superstar Jeff Gordon may be retiring from racing at the end of the 2015 season, but that doesn’t mean he’s ended his relationship with GM, or even Chevrolet for that matter.

Chevrolet’s The Block caught up with the esteemed racer and found out a little bit about his daily driver, a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban 1LT. (Why no LTZ, Jeff?!)

“I love this vehicle. This is the perfect vehicle for me and my family,” he says, “I’m just so impressed with what they’ve done…it gives you incredible feedback as well as utilizes the power well and those are important in a big vehicle like this.”

While the No. 24 Chevrolet SS driver is smitten with his Jet Black Suburban, The BLOCK also accompanied Gordon to a commercial shoot at the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital to raffle off a 2015 Corvette Stingray.

“Every year we raffle off a new Chevrolet Corvette for the hospital and every year we film a commercial. So we’re heading there today.”

Gordon also goes on to reveal that his very first car was a Chevrolet, too. Take a guess and you’ll have your answer at the end of the film in a little over 3 minutes.

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.

  1. Love the little disclaimer at about 1:38 “Closed Road. Professional Driver”. Thanks, I wouldn’t want to get confused about how to do daily driving or about who Jeff Gordon is.
