Holden Introduces 2015 Barina X Special Edition

It’s something we’ve been seeing more of from Holden lately: special editions pumping vehicles full of additional features with overall lower price points. The 2015 Holden Colorado Storm and 2015 Holden Captiva and 2015 Holden Commodore Lightning are three examples, but say hello to the 2015 Holden Barina X.

The 2015 Barina X follows a similar format, but most of the extra goodies are found on the inside of the car. Holden says this special edition Barina X is loaded with $2,500 AUD worth of extra features, while the price reflects a jump of only $1,250 AUD.

The new features touted by the 2015 Barina X include the award-winning Holden MyLink system, a power sunroof and 16-inch gun-metal gray alloy wheels. The pedestrian “CD” badge is also swapped out for an “X” decal to signify the special edition.

Holden’s Executive Director of Marketing, Geraldine Davys, said the special edition Barina X offers high-value features at outstanding value, and appeals to those looking for the latest tech in a popular package.

“Barina has always been a stylish-light car, and now, with the introduction of Barina ‘X’ and the inclusion of MyLink, it delivers even more technology and features, without the premium price tag,” said Davys.

“The addition of 16 inch alloy wheels and stylish decals brings an extra level of excitement and flair to the Barina, in what is a very compelling overall package.”

Holden said only 700 of the 2015 Barina X special editions will be built.
