Don’t You Wish The 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition Had Red Mirrors?

We were pretty excited today over the news of the limited-run, 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition. We’ll never drive one, and we may be lucky to actually see one, but it still remains a great tribute car to the celebrated Corvette Racing team. But we thought it was missing one tiny detail. Thanks to Steven Pham, we may have fixed it.

  1. No. It should be a see through mirror housing.

  2. Yes, because there no greater tribute to Corvette racing heritage than Phil in marketing selling an appearance package to 500 cars and coffee poseurs … can’t believe he forgot the extra 50HP adding red mirrors.

Oh and speaking of marketing, notice how the press release went from ‘most track capable’ to ‘most capable’ …

    Phil’s outdoing himself.

  3. Yes, red outside mirrors would be a nice addition to extra tribute the race car.

  4. These special editions are money makers and also good for putting the car in the media.

in this case this one will hold better interest as it is bases on a winning program.

As for the Mirrors I would just leave them off as with out the decal package that would look odd on the street they would make little sense.

Now if they were rebodied like the two cars build for Dale Sr and Jr back in 2001 with the race body panels and decals on the street car the red mirrors would make sense.

Like the package or not it has done it’s job while we wait for the C8

  5. I love this car, but I wish it had 50 more bhp and 30 more lb-ft. Also, I will still continue argue that the Z06 should be GM’s fastest car from start to finish. Hmm: 10.5 sec. 1/4 mile; 0-150 mph in 13 sec. flat; 208 mph top speed; around the ring in 6 min. 56 sec. Now that’s what changes should be able to accomplish.

    1. Just saw the same car… On 9th Street. Ran a Google search to see if it was a vinyl wrap gone wrong or factory. Too funny.
