Larbre Competition is celebrating their return to the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2015 with the Corvette C7.R. The first race of the season at Silverstone, which was also Larbre’s first race in the C7.R, could have went better, however the team will be looking to improve on their seventh place result in the season opener as they head to Belgium for the 6 Hours of Spa.
Today, Larbre’s C7.R participated in two of three free practice sessions to be held before the green flag drops on the 6 hour endurance race this Saturday. Unfortunately, the track was extremely wet for both practice runs, and the first had to be extended after being halted following a collision between two LMP cars.
Larbre was sixth after the second practice, however they’ll have a chance to improve on their time in the third free practice session tomorrow. Qualifying for the 6 hour endurance race is also scheduled to take place tomorrow afternoon. A live stream of the race will be provided by the FIA and can be viewed here when the race starts Saturday.
Fans of Larbre may also keep up with the team throughout the FIA WEC season on their Facebook page.
