Chevrolet Kickstarts The 2016 Malibu’s Marketing Campaign: Video

Not long ago we were shown a vastly redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Malibu at the New York Auto Show late last month. And as such, Chevrolet isn’t wasting any time rolling out more Malibu news to the public at large.

While the company showed us a number of YouTube teaser clips leading up to the reveal, this is the first time Chevrolet’s official channel has shown the entire car without cladding. In other words, a new marketing phase is now under way.

Clocking in at just 48-seconds, the new YouTube spot was designed to relay one simple message: The 2016 Malibu is here.

After a brief introductory shot the company is quick to show viewers (in this case the average YouTuber) that the car has been completely redesigned both inside and out. The words “Dramatic Design” are even flashed up on the screen, just to hammer the point home.

Chevrolet also points out that the new Malibu is “Ingenious and Efficient” and can return up to 48 mpg in hybrid form. Really, the main purpose here is to show the world that a sleek, new Malibu has finally arrived.

Plus, now is your to see chance to see a digitally rendered Malibu in a futuristic desert-scape, just in case you ever wondered what that might look like.

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.

  1. That side profile makes this car. It’s great all around, but that profile makes you want it.

  2. Everyone says that the grill and headlights look droopy. To me it looks like it has a face of it smiling and that it’s up to no good.
