Chevrolet FNR Concept To Bow At Auto Shanghai

Auto show season may be over for the western hemisphere, but the eastern hemisphere is just heating up. Previously, we told you to expect the plug-in variant of the 2016 Cadillac CT6 to show face at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show, but it seems General Motors has something else to display as well.

A report from Indian Autos Blog has picked up a teaser image showing what has been dubbed the Chevrolet FNR concept. FNR stands for “Find New Roads,” the familiar advertising slogan you are most likely aware of. The concept is reported to be a product of the Shanghai-GM joint venture

The concept is tipped to be a pure electric vehicle, designed at GM’s Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center. The concept will display futuristic technologies such as pupil recognition startup, autonomous driving, gesture controls and a number of other robotic controls to ensure a relaxed driving experience.

From what we can see, the Chevrolet FNR concept sports a thin front fascia with an illuminated bowtie. We can also see curved roof sculpting in the silhouette and a muscular profile. There has been no word on powertrain specifications at this time, though.

The 2015 Shanghai Motor Show opens on April 22nd, so we won’t have much longer to wait for more information on the futuristic Chevrolet FNR concept.
