The Cadillac Challenge Presented by Toyo gives Cadillac owners and enthusiasts a chance to push their vehicle’s limits on some of the best tracks on the west coast. Many of the participants own tuned versions of the second-generation CTS-V with General Motors’ 6.2-liter 556 horsepower LSA V8, so you can see why they’d want to get their car off public roads and legally stretch its legs every now and then.
The Cadillac Challenge sticks to tracks in the south west, alternating between Autoclub Speedway, Buttonwillow Raceway, Circuit of the Americas, Spring Mountain, Sonoma and Laguna Seca. The first round of the season kicked off at Autoclub in February, while the second round commenced at Buttonwillow in February. Earlier this month, the series hosted the third round of 2015 at Willow Springs.
The Cadillac Challenge does a good job of documenting the time-attack style races on their website, and has also released a short video on YouTube recapping the first three rounds of the season. Check it out below and keep an eye out for updates on their site as the series moves forward. The next round of 2015 will take place at Circuit of the Amercas in Austin on the exact same track Formula 1 races on. We’d be lying if we said we weren’t a little jealous of those planning to partake.
