Opening day for the Tigers is a big deal in Detroit, and Chevrolet is making sure they are ready. The team will hit the field for the first time this year on Monday, and the shadow of a 2015 Corvette Z06 and Silverado Midnight Edition will be cast on the field.
Chevy has been posting cars atop the Chevrolet Fountain at Comerica for the past six baseball seasons. Different vehicles from its product portfolio are selected to be displayed on the fountain each year, with Chevy saying the cars are like “the Chevrolet cheering section to drive those centerfield home runs.”
“As the Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball, what better way could Chevrolet show our love of the game than by giving our vehicles a bird’s eye view of our hometown team?” Paul Edwards, vice president of Chevrolet marketing asked in a statement.
Keep an eye out for Chevy’s new cars at Comerica when the Tigers face off against the Minnesota Twins 1:08 p.m. on April 6th.
