2015 Corvette Z06 Maxed Out By John Hennessey: Video

You can almost feel the 2015 Corvette Z06 accelerate just from watching a video of the RPM needle climb throughout the gears. To further heighten the senses, you can hear and see the sheer power of “Big Nasty” as John Hennessey — owner of Hennessey Performance Engineering — puts his foot all the way down, bringing the stock Z06 up to 185 miles per hour. Keep in mind, it only takes 10.5 seconds for the supercharged LT4 V8 to get the car up to 127 mph.

While there isn’t exactly a whole lot of scenery in the video (probably for legal reasons, we think), there is something interesting to take note of. Keep your eye on the gas gauge throughout the pull, and you’ll see just how thirsty the Z06 can get. We’d love to hear your reactions, be sure to submit them in the comment section below.

  1. Legal reasons? As in he was on public roads? He owns his own testing facility and when he needs more room has had Texas highways shut down for top speed runs.

  2. It is amazing how stable the steering column and dash are, no shaking at all.
