2002 Chevrolet Silverado Drifts Its Way Around An Oval Track: Video

Drifting. Take moment and picture the first vehicle to come to mind. Maybe it was something from Ken Block’s vehicle staple, or even a flashy import straight out of Tokyo Drift. Did you think 2002 Chevrolet Silverado? No?

Let’s change that.

Carbon Video has captured a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, possibly a 2500, making a few passes around the Beech Ridge oval track for a few friendly races. But, the driver doesn’t just overtake his opponents for the win, he drifts his way across the finish line. And then continues to hold the smokey-sideways position around the oval track. Not bad.

He continues to amuse himself during, and after he consistently passes his opponents on the track, and also provides a few smoky burnouts in the video. Because what’s a victory lap without a burnout?

It’s not known if the 2002 Silverado has been modified in anyway, but from the outside, it seems to be nearly stock, as are the opponents the driver faces. If it is stock, wow. That’s some talent.

Take a minute and check out some homegrown drifting for yourself.

  1. Got, sand bags?

kind of like a mullet, all work up front, (morning) all play out back, the (afternoon), good thing there’s no equipment flying out the back or someone would have all hell to answer to!
