Watch This Stunning 1969 Camaro With 1,000 HP Melt Its Rear Tires

What do you get when you add two massive 62mm turbos to a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro powered by a 6.0L LS Small Block V8?

According to the owner of this particular Camaro, the Pro Touring beast features 900hp at the wheels, or something like 1,000 hp at the crank. The car runs on E85 and pushes 23 PSI of boost through the two PT6262 turbochargers. Suffice to say, even at the lightest touch of the throttle the driver lays massive 11’s.

At full-chat the the dual Turbosmart wastegates absolutely scream and we hazard a guess that many onlookers have surmised quite quickly that this is no stock ’69 Z/28.

But that could also be down to the fact that this Camaro isn’t just good at melting rear tires, it also looks damn good doing it. Featuring a custom suspension setup, the car hunkers menacingly over the tires and its 13-coat yellow and black paint job suits it perfectly.

From its black deep-dished, five-spoke Rally-style wheels to the eye-watering size of its turbos, this is one Camaro that is truly deserving of a YouTube video.

Anyone know how to reach Jay Leno?

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.
