Filing away at old paint and body work is a major task. Making sure each layer is taken down to the bare portion of the car is essential, and getting passed primer and body filler can mean hours of long work. But we do it anyways. Why? Because we love our cars, and only want the best for them.
Combing YouTube, we stumbled upon something that may change the way cars are stripped from here on out, though. It’s called the Dustless Blaster, and it stripped the above 1963 Chevrolet Impala in under one hour. That’s pretty incredible, but the fact it’s eco-friendly is even more beneficial.
The Dustless Blaster uses recycles glass bottle product, making an eco-friendly fuel to strip vehicles with. The only byproduct of the process is water vapor, and most of it evaporates on impact, so you’re not left puddles of nasty paint-water. Another bonus? The system is mobile, as seen in the video. Therefore, customers don’t have to worry about transportation or their vehicles, and the service can be done right at their home.
As the name implies, it’s dustless, adding to the environmental factor, and near minimal cleanup. It’s pretty entertaining to watch the whole car have nearly fifty years of old paint be removed in such a short time. Have a look at the system in action in the video down below.
