The 48 Hour Corvette Build Is Happening Right Now: Video

Ridetech officially got to work on their 1972 Corvette this morning, which will receive a comprehensive overhaul throughout the next 48 hours if everything goes to plan. We’re not betting against them, as the Ridetech team also threw together a custom first-generation Camaro in only 48 hours back in 2011.

Over the next two days, Ridetech plans to upgrade the Corvette’s transmission, rear end, suspension, brakes, interior, stereo and more. They’re also throwing a Lingenfelter Performance Engineering-built 7.0-liter LS7 V8 under the hood producing a meaty 650 horsepower.

This build is an ambitious undertaking to say the least, but we have confidence they can get it done. We’ll be able to keep an eye on the project’s progression through the live stream of the build, which we’ve embedded below. Not everyone has time to sit and watch the stream all day every day, but it should be interesting to check back periodically and see how the ‘Vette is coming along.
