It’s coming, and it sounds incredible. Chevrolet has released a media website for its upcoming sixth-generation 2016 Camaro for the car’s upcoming debut on May 16th at Belle Isle Park in Detroit. Along with the website comes a video capturing sound waves of the mighty LT1 engine as its revs up.
The sound waves break into a formation of the new interpretation of the classic red, white and blue Camaro badge, which should look right at home on the evolutionary styling from the fifth-generation Camaro. Besides these blissful noises, and a slew of spy shots from various points in the past year, other information has been a well kept secret from Chevrolet.
And we like a secret, since the internet is pretty good at ruining surprises. We commend GM and Chevrolet for staying tight lipped on the matter so when the car does show its face, or if the internet does spoil the surprise, we’ll have the feeling of a kid on Christmas morning as the latest chapter in the long-standing muscle car rivalry is penned.
Have a listen to the 2016 Camaro in the accompanying sound byte below. And what a sound it is.

If the Marketing geniuses at Chevrolet and its agency haven’t figure out that this needs to be on the movie screen ads before the movie — especially movies like Furious 7 — they need to be fired.
