Considering how far along the car appears in its development in spy photos, we thought maybe the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro would make its debut at the New York International Auto Show early next month. That won’t be the case, however, with Chevrolet already planning to pull the wraps off of the Malibu and Spark at the Big Apple’s auto expo.
Chevrolet released teaser images for both the next-generation Malibu and Spark earlier this month and also divulged some extra information on the cars, including that they will make their world premiere in New York. Chevrolet doesn’t want to draw attention away from either of those cars by pulling the veil from their highly anticipated sixth-gen Camaro, so they’ve decided to save it for a later date.
If you were really hoping to see the Camaro in NYC – don’t fret, as the car will still make its debut sometime this year. We wouldn’t be surprised if it debuts away from an auto show and receives its own special event, or makes an appearance at an enthusiast event like the Woodward Dream Cruise, for example.

This is very puzzling as they have used up the big shows and now are left with a cruise in that is ok for some news but so late in the year?
I am wondering are we looking at a late production start and release for the Camaro. We may not see the new car in Sept?
All I know is at the Cleveland auto show the Camaro could easily be missed with only two cars back behind the Corvettes on the fringe of the show. Not may people will see them there.
Chevrolet has never said when to expect production, but most believe it will be “buyable” by November or so. Currently, there is a rumor that the INDY 500 in May will be the reveal of the Camaro…This rumor appears to have some backing to it.
many GM products in the garage waiting for their turn first presentation. motor show, however, does not take place every day and spends all this time. One strategy is, of course, gm for each product within the last. However, it can also cause damage to your. In bringing new products to market may be more useful. However, too much procrastination is the GM of my mind. New products are born very slowly and reach the market. okay this is your thoughts but certainly in comparison with some of the other manufacturers will have even funny gm.
But I still hope that GM will make the best decisions and choices that may not always like the fans but it all pays off in the future, and fans will be happier than ever.
I, as the Opel lover then I have agreed with everything the things that do not like me, and I believe that everyone is doing the best for the future peak.
I am not anticipating the reveal of the Camaro as I am of many other GM models.
The styling seems to be to evolutionary that revolutionary.
Probably L.A.
The current one was revealed in an old garage somewhere independent of any auto show wasn’t it? (And it did alright.)
The shows make for a nice spectacle, but with the internet they’re less and less important, IMO.
