If you’re like us, you find this kind of collectable memorabilia to be quite awesome. When the C7 Corvette Stingray was unveiled January of 2013, Chevrolet put together quite the press kit for the car, available to media and VIPs.
A limited number of kits were made available, each serialized on the inside, making them prime for eBay auctions or grand collector pieces. If you’ve dreamt about owning one of these press kits, the National Corvette Museum is giving you a chance to own one.
The NCM is offering up a handful of the press kits for anyone to own with a donation of $500 to the museum. To put that into perspective, the kits have crossed eBay for close to $1,000 before. Upon perusing the auction site, there are none for sale at the time of this writing. So, yes, they are quite rare.
The kits are new, and still sealed, but the best part is the $500 will also go towards the NCM’s Winner’s Circle Recognition, which recognizes those who donate over $1,000. The kits will ship with an acknowledgment letter from the museum stating your donation, and you as the rightful owner of the kit.
Move fast, because as stated, only a handful were donated by General Motors. For more information on the donation process, follow the link here.
