Station wagons aren’t as popular in the US as in other Western countries – nor, frankly, as popular as they should be. So it’s somewhat surprising, then, that Cadillac ever even bothered to offer the supremely capable CTS-V in wagon form.
Nonetheless, voila! Up for sale on eBay is this perfectly exquisite, one-owner 2014 Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond Sport Wagon, with a proper (read: manual) transmission. It’s practically good as new with just 10k miles on the odometer, and being the V-badged CTS, it has the potent, supercharged 6.2-liter V8 under the bonnet.
That motor sends a whopping 556 HP through the transmission to the rear wheels. The Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon is a wonderful machine; it’s made up of equal parts luxury, practicality, and stratospheric performance. Plus, there’s the rarity. Chances are strong that you’ll never see such a prime example of a Cadillac CTS-V wagon for sale in your life, let alone one equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission and the Black Diamond Tricoat paint.
This tasty piece of American automotive engineering can be had for $65,500. (Note: That’s more than the base price for a new one of the same model year, but this example is loaded with navigation, Recaro seats, metal pedals, Black Diamond paint, and an Ultraview sunroof.)

Odds are there will be good examples around for a while. These are cult cars and while limited in number they are limited in the people who want them new or used.
In about 30 years these models will hold their value as there will be enough demand with the few models made that it will make it stand out. Same with the coupes.
But beware many of the people who have bought these did not make them daily drivers. Many have limited used these ands are sitting on them in hopes the value does increase.
Just as in the past it Is hard to predict what will be a valuable car today. At one time some in the media predicted the Fiero was going to be a $100K car and the 78 indy Corvette was going to be priceless.
I warned a few people sitting on the Fiero’s that they would grow in value just as the Corvair did.
In other words if you have one enjoy it and don’t mortgage the house to buy this one.
