Livernois Motorsports Makes A Mean Chevrolet SS Build: Video

We’re grateful we get to experience the VF Holden Commodore stateside, but Chevrolet SS owners aren’t sitting back and enjoying the 6.2-liter LS3 in its factory form. Even though there’s more than enough grunt to be had, Livernois Motorsports has taken it a step further. Actually, they’ve taken it 278 steps further.

Livernois was able to squeeze an additional 278 wheel-horsepower out of the Chevrolet SS, taking the stock 360 wheel-horsepower up to a now whopping 638 wheel-horsepower. The process was completed through the tuning company’s Stage 3W package.

The Stage 3W package also includes Livernois 1c camshaft, spring kit and pushrod upgrades. A Roto-Fab cold air intake, Whipple supercharger and a Corsa cat-back exhaust help boost those numbers significantly, too.

The Chevrolet SS hits the dyno for a custom Livernois dyno tune to really unlock the potential of all the upgrades, and make sure everything is working in harmony. And we can a nice, healthy, tone coming from the Corsa system, with the faintest tone of supercharger whine. It’s quite a nice soundtrack.

Check out the video of the dyno pull right down below.
