Dawn Hughes has loved Corvettes all her life. Her father owned a C2 1964 Corvette Convertible before she was born, but he was eventually forced to sell the car. He would still often talk about Corvettes, which ignited a desire within Dawn to have a ‘Vette of her own one day.
After perusing the selection at Kerbeck Corvette in New Jersey, Hughes pulled the trigger and ordered a C7 Corvette Stingray with the special Corvette Museum Delivery option box ticked. When her car was ready, she travelled to the museum and went for a tour around the Bowling Green Assembly plant, where she said she felt her dad’s presence.
When driving her new Corvette home the next day, Dawn noticed it was the on-year anniversary of her father’s passing. In memory of him, she paid the car off on Father’s Day last year, which is when she also began to check into the history of her dad’s ’64 Convertible. After looking up the VIN (408675111410) she noticed her dad sold his car on June 15, 1966, the exact same day Dawn received the title for her car.
Those coincidences have prompted dawn to begin a search for her dad’s 1964 Corvette Convertible. Even if it’s in the possession of a new owner, she’d still like to get the two car’s together for her dad. Can we help her out?
