GMC Debuts 2015 Sierra Leader Edition For UAE Consumption

GMC took a look at the United Arab Emirates market and saw one thing: their customers love to customize their trucks. GMC is countering this trend with the introduction of the exclusive UAE 2015 GMC Sierra Leader edition.

The truck provides a one-stop-shop for customization thanks to the trucks multitude of standard GMC accessories, which GMC says “elevate the overall look and ownership experience.” Those accessories include the addition of a bed-liner, a soft tonneau cover, chrome side steps, body color fender flares, chrome fuel door, chrome door handles, chrome mirror covers, an exhaust pipe extension, racing stripes on the hood and roof and blackened wheels

“We are proud to introduce our newest limited edition offering to the UAE market,” said Jeroen Barwegen, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Chevrolet and GMC. “The vehicle serves as a discerning choice for our legions of loyal customers – many of whom share a keen interest in vehicle accessories that can take design and performance elements to new heights. We are certain that the exclusive ‘Leader’ edition of the 2015 Sierra Light Duty will entice both existing and new customers to the GMC Sierra as it represents the core of GMC’s commanding presence.”

Other additional options for the 2015 Sierra Leader, which arrives in light duty guise, includes General Motors’ eight-speed automatic transmission to bolster effciency and capability, especially alongside the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 engine. Alas, Magnetic Ride Control stays reserved for the Sierra Denali.

The truck definitely stands out, especially from our perspective, where GMCs are normally a tad more restrained and sophisticated. It’s apparent the truck is loaded with accessories the minute you lay eyes on it.

The Leader edition takes style over function, as its UAE customers look to GMC for statement pieces, rather than blue-collar work tools. GMC says the truck is available now at dealers across the UAE.
