Cho began his legal career at Canadian law firm Fasken Martineau DuMoulin and Macleod Dixon, positions he held before jumping on board with Kia Canada as their general counsel. GM Canada president Stephen Carlisle says Cho’s experience and business relationships will be an asset to the company.
“I am very pleased to welcome Peter to the GM Canada team,” Carlisle said. “His diversity of experience and strong relationships, in Canada and globally, will be valuable as we continue to build an innovative, profitable and customer-focused business in Canada based on award-winning vehicles and technologies.”
Cho will report to Carlisle and Lucy Clark Dougherty, vice president, general counsel of GM North America and Chief Legal Advisor, Global Vehicle Safety.
