While the world, including us here at GM Authority, mourns the current state of ongoing affairs with the BBC Top Gear, let’s take a moment to remind ourselves that American Top Gear isn’t in jeopardy, and can still come out with some entertaining features.  Especially when Tanner Foust is behind the wheel.
In something that looks like a clip from Need For Speed (the video games, not the ho-hum film adaptation), Top Gear slaps a light bar and police livery on a C6 Corvette Z06 and decides to chase down a Triumph motorbike. The bit is pretty entertaining as Foust works the C6 Z06 in and out of tight warehouses, rowing the gears accordingly, and getting the rear end sideways. For what the show lacks in host chemistry, Foust makes up for in his absolute gnarly driving-antics.
We do wish the uploader of the video didn’t take the clip and throw a Euro EDM house mix over it, leaving out the harmonic soundtrack of gurgling V8 exhaust and zippy exhaust barks from the Triumph.
Even so, it’s worth a watch. We’ve provided the segment down below for your enjoyment.
