Chevrolet Wants You To Stay Focused On The Road: Ad Break

Chevrolet is ramping up the focus group advertisements, and is working the successful formula it found with the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado into the entire lineup. The new advertisement will being hitting airwaves on April 1st, but Chevrolet has posted the first of the new campaign to its YouTube channel.

Titled, “Eyes On The Road,” the ad features a focus group instructed to focus on the screen in front of them no matter what. The screen simply displays a first-person view of someone driving down a street. A simple task it seems, right? Chevrolet begs to differ.

Distractions are introduced such as loud maintenance noises, puppies and even some WWE style wrestlers crashing through walls.

The point here is how distractions can come in many shapes and sizes, especially while you’re driving, and the ad specifically highlights the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze‘s ability to read and send text messages at the push of a button. Granted, it’s better yet to stay totally focused on the task at hand and forego texting altogether, but features like this help.

The ads have found great success with the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, and Chevy hopes the success will continue with these new spots. Have a look at the first ad right down below.

  2. so you added the distraction of looking at a screen instead of the road, and pushing buttons on the dashboard instead of a phone! you just added a different distraction, didnt you pay attention to accidents statistics!

  3. Please take out the “WWE style” and change it to “Pro Wrestlers”…WWE is not the only pro wrestling company out there and it pisses me off when people think that. There is TNA, ROH, PWG, Chikara, NJPW, AAA, Wrestle -1, etc

  4. GM should be ashamed, and anyone who is hit when they are using this should sue. I would. GM is saying you will be safe, just use this method for texting. You won’t be. Studies have shown it isn’t the method of listening to or responding to calls or texts, it is the division of attention in your brain that causes accidents. If you’re thinking about what button to push, what you’re going to say, etc., then your brain isn’t processing fully what is going on with your driving or around you.

Anything to sell cars, no matter how many lives it costs. That’s the American way. It’s time laws catch up with those who try to circumvent the laws we have to make money.
