Cadillac Struts Its Stuff At New York Fashion Week Mens Day: Video

New York Fashion Week was held last month, attracting thousands of popular, beautiful and stylish people to the city for various fashion line launches. Cadillac hoped to capture the hearts and minds of those stylish folk, which is why it sponsored the ‘Men’s Day Fall/Winter 2015 Presentations’, in addition to other fashion week events.

As we explained in our analysis of Cadillac’s presence during Fashion Week, the brand is a rather good fit for the event. There’s a trend in high fashion to forego logos and let the product speak for itself, which is a similar approach to Cadillac’s rebranding strategy. The automaker hopes to create an aura of quality around the brand, rather than clamoring on about luxury while sticking Cadillac logos in every spot one will fit. Simple, subtle branding is the way forward for Caddy.

That understated branding is also at work in this video. The footage is from an entirely Cadillac-sponsored event, but besides a sign out front and the Cadet-designed Cadillac ELR, there’s no indication that Cadillac played a major role in putting the event on. Check it out in the video below, and keep an eye out for Cadillac at the next NYC Fashion Week in September.
