Most people will let out an audible groan upon finding out that their car is due in for service. Many car owners see the appointments as a time consuming burden, so when they show up, they want a fast, no-nonsense experience devoid of headaches and problems.
Buick knows a simple, straight forward service appointment is desired by their customers, so they hired famous illusionist Michael Carbonaro to deliver the exact opposite. Not unlike some mechanics, Carbonaro specializes in confusing people, so he was the perfect man for the job.
When customers pull up for their service appointment, Carbonaro, acting as a Buick Ceritifed Service employee, asks them to open their ‘prize pack’ which is located underneath the driver’s seat. He removes the flat envelope and begins emptying its contents on the Buick Service desk, eventually removing something rather unexpected, to say the very least.

That was beautiful! I will not spoil the trick but I loved the surprise. Too bad this was a trick and the Biuck customers could not take the “prize” home. I would!!
Amazing. I want to know how he did it… ostensibly without the customers’ knowledge? [email protected]
I get the whole “warm fuzzy” feeling, and it honestly makes me want to buy another Buick, but if Buick hasn’t invested in the training to assist Service Writers and mechanics in accomplishing this feat, excellent service will remain an illusion.
I’m one of the ladies from the illusionist commercial and he sure fooled me.
