Some of us are content with our daily drivers. Others like a toy to cruise with on bright, sunny day. Others need a track machine, or drag racer to satisfy ourselves. Tom Cruise said it best: “I got the need, for speed.”
So when an opportunity to own an old-school road racer, we like to bring it to your attention. Today we bring you a 1969 C3 Corvette road racer, located in the good ‘ol lone star state. The car was raced by an older gentleman for many years, who purchased the 1969 Corvette in factory form with a four-speed manual and V8 engine. The car was then converted to a high-performance automatic transmission.
The seller states the car came into their possession after the original owner passed away, and after attempting to restore the vehicle, the motor blew in the final hour. So, now, here we are with the vehicle being sold as a roller minus an engine. The car could easily be converted back into a manual-transmission, seeing as the clutch pedal was never removed from the former build. There’s lots of potential here to let you imagination go wild. Particularly because the car isn’t a rust-bucket.
The seller recently dropped the price on the vehicle to only $5,950, with no reserve attached. Visions of track days fill our heads just thinking about what could become of this car. Do we smell an LSX crate motor?
You can find more information on the car at the listing here.
