If you’re looking for a fairly intensive project for this Spring and Summer seasons, we may have found you a unique one. When’s the last time you saw a hot rodded bus? Never. We haven’t either, so this 1949 GMC short bus would be pretty awesome if given to the right person.
Sure it looks like it will take some tedious work, but that’s part of the fun. The GMC bus has a clean title, and has been left and forgotten to rot away. Surprisingly, the bus is reported to run and its six-cylinder engine will still fire right up. The seller also states the engine has been rebuilt, which is a major plus to those that are interested in this vehicle. The only negative note mechanically on this bus is the fact it needs brakes.
Besides that, though, you’re looking at a pretty sweet project potentially. Most of the work will be put into either restoring this bus to former glory, or taking on the rat rod look with an enthusiastic outlook, making for a unique vehicle.
