Chevrolet announced the 2015 Colorado GearOn edition, and will debut the all-new special edition at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. The GearOn edition adds as much versatility you can ask for with the addition of the GearOn bars package, among other minor exterior bits, and features.
Tony Johnson, Chevrolet Colorado Marketing Manager, introduces the GearOn special edition in the video provided and exercises the fundamentals of the system. There’s a configuration for just about anything you’re looking for with your shiny new Colorado.
Want to watch the stars under the comfort of a tent? The GearOn supports the ability to set a tent up in the bed of the Colorado. Need to load the kayak with a bundle of bins and extra boating gear? The optional clamps can tie a kayak or canoe down, and the cargo splitter keeps things organized and secure in the bed of the truck. And those are just two examples.
“The Chevy Colorado is all about innovation and changing the game, and nowhere is that more apparent than with our patented GearOn accessory system,” says Johnson in the video.
There are a lot of aftermarket systems to help with bed organization, but none are as versatile as the GearOn system, and the Colorado GearOn special edition looks to build all of this into one attractive package for potential Colorado buyers.
The GearOn special edition also receives specific body-color grille, gloss black wheels and black bowtie badges in the front and rear to differentiate from other road-going Colorados. Remote start is also a welcome added creature comfort.
The special edition will go on sale this spring with a base price of $31,250.

Good idea, better idea. Your bags or bins are NOT truly secure. Just because you tie them down in the back, doesn’t mean someone can’t come along and untie it and take it. They should have made it so you could have a hard tonneau cover on and their gear support arms attached to the bed rails.
