In all likelihood, were the king himself still alive, he would object to anyone’s rear end but his own occupying the pilot seat. Of course, he’s died and gone up to heaven (or hell, depending on your opinion of rock n’ roll music), but there’s still another obstacle to your owning this exquisite piece of motoring/rock n’ roll Americana: the price.
This 1972 Cadillac DeVille station wagon is listed for a whopping $1.5 million on eBay.
That might seem absurd at first, until you do a bit of reading and discover that the car is just one of two Cadillac DeVille wagons ever produced, the other formerly belonging to Dean Martin. Or the fact that the spokes are made of 24-karat gold, as is the Cadillac badge. Or even the fact that it was Elvis Presley’s go-to car while he was on the road, out of the countless cars in his possession.
This 1972 Cadillac DeVille station wagon is currently titled to the Elvis Presley Museum, so you know it’s been well cared for. And hey, if you’re truly a die-hard fan of the late king, certainly you’ll find some way to come up with the money.
