Little Jake is only 4 years-old, and already on his first Corvette Stingray.
Apparently, kids are catching the Speed Bug younger and younger these days. We blame the anti-vaccine movement.
The guy from 1320video was covering the Texas Invitational Automotive Airfield Exhibition when he came across young Jake here. Jake is the proud owner of a new Corvette Stingray in charcoal gray, with no petrol engine, two electric drive motors, and dual bottles of NOS.
And sure, it’s not quite a to-scale, “adult size” Corvette, but it’s still cooler than anything that the majority of us drive. In fact, if anything, the weight reduction that comes with being a one-quarter scale car enables the Power Wheels Stingray to achieve heightened levels of agility.
Jake’s father explains that he’s modified his son’s Stingray pretty extensively. Two 12-volt batteries wired in parallel provide 24 volts to the electric drive motors. The motors themselves are also new, as are the gears; he’s installed metal ones instead of the stock plastic, to handle the extra torque.
From the video, we can tell this Jake cat really knows how to pilot a sportscar! He manages to pull off a few very impressive drifts behind the wheel. When he grows up, we’ll keep a close eye on his meteoric rise as a Tudor USCC contender.
Keep on driving, Jake!
