The unveiling of the touched up 2016 Chevrolet Equinox at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this month brought one question to surface: where’s the updated GMC Terrain? As you may have suspected, the new Terrain is on its way, evidenced by recent spy shots of the model from KGB Photography.
Like the Equinox, it appears the updates for the Terrain will be reserved for its front and rear ends only. We expect a front fascia in line with more up-to-date GMC models, like the Canyon, for example, along with new headlights and taillights and new daytime running lights.
The prototype that was caught testing was seen with camo over its grille, headlights and hood, along with its entire rear end. It was also sporting split-spoke black wheels we’ve never seen before on a Terrain, potentially hinting at new available wheel options for the 2016 model year.
Check out the spy shots here, and let us know what you think in the comments. If you’ve been waiting on the updated Terrain, it should make its debut at the New York Auto Show in April before going on sale later this year.

It’s probably going to get the C shaped LED running lights in the front and rear seen on the Acadia and Yukon
You beat me to it David.
Most anything will look better than this vehicles’ current nose. The grille was too chromey big and overdone. The fender flares could stand to be toned down as well IMO.
I think we are going to see the face of the Canyon on the Terrain . And eventually a dash similar to it as well .
It will not be that radical.
Now the next gen you may get more Canyon.
The changes here will be no more or less than you saw on the Nox. Some LED and a couple moved body lines.
